Fluocinolone- it is a glucocorticoid receptor agonist. It works by binding to cytoplasmic glucocorticoid receptors and translocates to the nucleus and where it initiates the transcription and translation of glucocorticoid-responsive genes such as lipocortins. Lipocortins inhibit phospholipase A2, thereby blocking the release of arachidonic acid from phospholipid membrane and preventing the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, which are the mediators of inflammation. Miconazole- Miconazole exerts fungicidal or fungistatic action . It inhibits the conversion of Lanosterol to 14 demethyl Lanosterol by inhibiting the enzyme 14 alpha demethylase and impair ergosterol synthesis
The formulation is contraindicated in pregnancy it is also contraindicated in known hypersensitivity reactions.
Hypersensitivity (including urticaria), angioneurotic oedema, Rash, eczema, erythema, dermatitis (including dermatitis contact), pruritus, Photosensitivity reaction.
Apply gel as necessary to the affected area. Allow three to five minutes for the anaesthetic to take affect.
